Happy Fall of the Wall Anniversary!

To all the Germans: Happy Mauerfall Anniversary! 20 Years! And I am so excited and happy about it!
To all non-Germans: please, celebrate with us! This is something the whole world can be happy about. Have a good beer, on us! Or a glass of German wine. And then learning to chant: Wir sind das Volk will come a little easier to you!
It translates to: We are the people, meaning: we are the sovereign. That was the slogan used during the "Monday Demonstrations" in the GDR to get more rights. And that was the unbloody revolution which finally got Germany back together!

This wall is coming down tomorrow, it's dominoes, painted by youths from all over the globes, mostly from Germany, though.


This one says: We are one people. East and West Germany together.

Did you watch Dittsche yesterday? He was talking to Ingo about the Mauerfall anniversary and then the lights went off inside the Imbiss and the Scorpions walked in to only the light of Lichterketten and a Diskokugel and sang an acoustic version of 'Wind of Change'. It was pretty awesome and totally not what I was expecting!!!

Neat! It's really hard to believe it's been 20 years, huh? I remember it like it was... well, not yesterday, but more recently than 20 years ago. I was 10 years old and in 5th grade, and I remember my teacher was so excited, and really trying to make us little kids understand how important the day was. I didn't really get it at the time, but I do now.
