monanotlisa! Pretty! Thank you for that, sweets!
What a lazy weekend. And I am talking real laziness here, sleeping, watching Loriot and OMWF and sleeping. There were some "active" parts as well:
Party on Friday
Going to the museum today
I know, real busy-like stuff.
The art exhibition was great today. It was hosted at the Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin and it was in fact multiple exhibitions.
One: Clouds with painting by Caspar David Friedrich, Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Carl Blechen, Goethe, William Turner, John Constable et al.
It was about the connection of Art and Science and what new techniques came into play. Very interesting.
Second: Watzmann
It's a mountain that was painted eg by Caspar David Friedrich and the painting has been newly restored. There were a few accompanying pictures of the same topic as well as the same painter.
Third: Max Lieberman's Garden
This I saw actually in Hamburg when I was visiting my parents last fall (or so). The rooms in Hamburg had a definite advantage to the ones in Berlin, as at the Hamburger Kunsthalle they could really re-shape the original garden with movable walls. Was more impressive. In Berlin the rooms are simply too narrow. Not all but those hosting the exhibition.
Anyway, it was a classic Sunday, and not only we thought it to be a good idea! People were actually lining up outside in the snow! to enter the museum. And it wasn't even the Neue Nationalgalerie with the MoMA! Imagine that! Luckily we got in without having to freeze outside!
I have to make another recommendation for
__tiana__'s drabbles. The one she posted today was lovely again. Well, I don't expect any different. Go and check it out yourself.
Hope you all have a great week.
