Lazy day I had today...
Apr. 25th, 2004 10:03 pmMy parents stayed over at my place for the weekend, looked at my flat and roomies for the first time. We went to the MoMA exhibition that is currently hosted at the New National Gallery in Berlin. Quite the show, I tell ya! Gerhard Richter's paintings amazed me. They were scary and very moving all the same. Wanna see an example? Jugendbildnis and Cell.
On Sunday we went to another exhibition about the architect Mendelssohn, a jew who fled Germany very early on, in March 1933. He survived and was quite the well-known architect, even earlier. He built the Einstein tower in Potsdam, a very impressive building! Always liked it a lot!
So, I had a very artsy weekend, and I enjoyed seeing my parents again. I visited them last week, but before that I hadn't seen them since Christmas.
And to top it all off, I had a long phonecall with a friend of mine I once had too much feelings for, it was very nice for a change. Yay.
