Don't feel like I am prepared enough but eh, I'll just muddle through, right?

New Year's resolutions: more sports, more dancing, keeping my friends and making new ones if possible. Seeing more of the world.

Hope your 2015 will bring happiness, health and humour to your lives!

commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-05-17:352807:180931Oscars2013-02-26T00:37:13Z2013-02-26T19:19:28Ztiredpublic3Just watched the Oscars, a day late but I managed to remain completely unspoiled for everything so I had the pleasure of actually yelping and laughing loud and rejoice in all the wins. Because everyone won who deserved it IMHO. Sure, I haven't seen all the movies yet but after this I will watch a few more (Les Miserables, Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, maybe Django. Anyone wanna come with?). So happy that I did watch Argo last week and goodness, was Ben Affleck happy or what? Deservedly so. And Adele winning her Oscar, she is the cutest!

What a fun evening. Just Seth McFarlane: meh. But most presenters are, huh? Maybe it's the role...
And having Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. on stage was fabulous, I wish they would have recognised the movie for more and Joss, too. Here's hoping for the next projects!

Also: Scarlett Johannson sings???? Why didn't I know this?

commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-05-17:352807:179484kskitten @ 2012-12-01T09:33:002012-12-01T08:41:25Z2012-12-01T08:41:25Zhappypublic0There is snow, on the first of December, and I am going to travel to my friends and we'll bake cookies!!!!! I just watched the pilot again and I like it all so much. Lena Heady is so awesome and there is Cameron and uh, I love it. Thomas Dekker is good in the pilot and a little stiff after.

::is sad::

commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-05-17:352807:178834kskitten @ 2012-10-29T19:47:002012-10-29T18:50:01Z2012-10-29T18:50:01Zpublic0Watching the CNN/BBC coverage of the storm Sandy and just wanted to say I hope everyone affected by it is safe. I just, I don't know. Too much pathos and military but wow. Bawled my eyes out.

I like the series as a whole a lot. I love Tami Taylor and Coach Taylor and these flawed girls and boys and the drama and that they don't forget they're and ensemble cast and the fast change they do to it. But I am too German and atheist for some of the tone of the show. It's so "y'all" and "a'right" and friendly fake smiles which sometimes are meant sincerely, I think and then there is church and praying all over the place and it is weird. I like the show regardless. A lot. Especially cause of Tami and Coach. And I thought Julie was gonna be as annoying as Jack Bauer's daughter and I was pretty right about it...

commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-05-17:352807:177889kskitten @ 2012-09-24T08:19:002012-09-24T06:29:56Z2012-09-24T06:32:26Zpublic0

Stolen from soundingsea : A Kitchen Meme

Bold the ones you have and use at least once a year, italicize the ones you have and don't use, strike through the ones you have had but got rid of.

I wonder how many pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers, blenders, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese knives, electric woks, miniature salad spinners, griddle pans, jam funnels, meat thermometers, filleting knives, egg poachers, cake stands, garlic crushers, martini glasses, tea strainers, bamboo steamers, pizza stones (my new flatmate promised to bring us the one his parents aren’t using!), coffee grinders, milk frothers, piping bags, banana stands, fluted pastry wheels, tagine dishes, conical strainers, rice cookers, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, spaetzle makers, cookie presses, gravy strainers, double boilers (bains marie), sukiyaki stoves, ice cream makers, fondue sets, healthy-grills, home smokers, tempura sets, tortilla presses, electric whisks, cherry stoners, sugar thermometers, food processors, bacon presses, mouli mills, cake testers languish dustily at the back of the nation's cupboards.

commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-05-17:352807:174969kskitten @ 2012-06-03T18:56:002012-06-03T17:04:26Z2012-06-03T17:04:26Zpublic1Watching the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant whilst drinking Earl Grey and savouring a few macarons, what a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. ;)

I was working in the morning and getting my sports on at my dancing class earlier as well, now some relaxation and then maybe a nice dinner.
